Description:
A well cared for garden
with a bit of the wild, nestled deep in the Manoa Valley . These garden is cared
for by the University of Hawaii Manoa. It is located near
Manoa Falls. Come enjoy
this magnificent open space with its majestic trees and palms. A wide
variety of plants can be found within this garden.

Need to Know:
Cost :Suggested $7.00 General, $5.00 Kama'aina and Students, $4.00
Seniors, and $3.00 Children. A group of trails that encircle the garden make for an
interesting tour. Make sure to cover both the upper trails and lower trails
leading from the visitor center/parking area. Maps of the area are available
at the visitor center. Bring water and good hiking shoes. Insect repellent is
recommend along with long pants.
Open: Monday-Friday, 9 am to 4 pm
Closed: Saturday, Sunday and all public holidays.
Directions:
From Waikiki go to Ala Wai Blvd make a right onto
Kalakaua Ave then a right onto S. King. Take S. King to Punahou. Make a left
on Punahou. Stay on Punahou it will turn into Manoa Rd at Wilder Ave.
Stay on Manoa Rd. It will take you into Moana Valley. Continue past the sign
to Paradise Park. You should soon see the entrance to the Lyon Arboretum.
Follow the signs to the parking area. |
